Bio
My name is Kai Harris, and I am a wildlife and landscape photographer. I am currently a college freshman and have taken photography and advanced photography courses.
I have always been interested in photography since I was very young. I started with a Vtech Kidizoom Camera and now use a Nikon Z50, which I love. While photographing a sunset in Key West, FL, I captured a seagull flying by, which was a pivotal moment that inspired me to delve deeper into photography. When my high school closed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, I took daily walks with my camera. I am so happy to live in an area with a lot of wildlife and beautiful views. During that time, I became very interested in learning about, and photographing, birds.
I have been interviewed by my local newspaper about my photography; here's the article. I have also been featured in two local nature center newsletters. I have entered a few photo competitions and won second place in Woodcock Nature Center’s Spring 2021 Photography Contest.
